After a year and a half of study, I earned a minor in Korean Studies from the University of Utah in May 2024. Since January 2024, I’ve also volunteered as an assistant Korean language teacher at Utah Korean School (유타 한글 학교), supporting students in their language learning journey. My current proficiency level is limited working proficiency.
I fell in love with the Korean language quite by accident when I stumbled upon a Korean YouTube video. I was instantly captivated by its unique sound and fascinated by the complexity of its grammar. As I explored more, my appreciation grew to include Korean food and history. After moving to Utah, I connected with many Korean friends—especially through my studies at the University of Utah, which has a campus in Incheon, South Korea. I’m always eager to challenge myself and expand both my language skills and cultural understanding!
